About the Recipe

A classic South Indian snack made with Oliyan’s Pure Coconut Oil. The light, crisp texture and sweet banana aroma make this an irresistible homemade treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp rice flour

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • A pinch of salt

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ cup water (as needed)

  • Oliyan’s Pure Coconut Oil for frying

Preparation

  • Mash bananas and mix with flour, rice flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.

  • Add water to form a thick batter.

  • Heat Oliyan’s Pure Coconut Oil in a pan.

  • Drop spoonfuls of batter and fry until golden brown.

  • Serve hot with honey or jaggery syrup.
